If you fly jets, your talisman is your aircraft. A
soldier's life depends upon a weapon. Can a weapon be a talisman? Maybe
you are an artist and your source for canvas is critical - you use no
other. A child's favorite blanket or toy can be seen as the first
talisman. Consider how the 'security-blanket' gives the child their first
measure of self confidence and control. In short, we can see the talisman
as that 'material' which partners with your original nakedness to create
the physical identity you show,craft, commit to, and excel in. Everyone
has an identity which is supported by a talisman (or two).
Through their A*C*G maps we can find the sources of their talisman. We open up
the symbolism of their individual birth moments, marking each location around
the Earth, by connecting those signatures of time (astrological patterns to
their natal positions) with the objects of desire; in short, a persons most
treasured possessions. Much of the time we find people unaware of how 'attached'
they have become to a particular item. Others are limited to sentimental
explanations as to why they cling to some possession. Elizabeth Taylor has her
priceless Krupp Diamond, acquired in Germany, origins in the Namibian 'Forbidden
Zone'. But a tattered scarf, worn at some exotic destination, may prove as
priceless. A letter perhaps from a lover? Maybe some heirloom from an ancestor
might help shape an image and self-esteem.
During the workshop these are the areas Wayne Moody will explore
with people interested in securing or identifying their talisman. The common
theme Wayne found running through his research of talismans, through time, was
that of 'a beneficial relationship'. People were seeking remationship benefits
that were seeming beyond their capacity to provide. Wayne has come to understand
that the talisman is actually that souvenir of ones success at solving their
needs through harvesting their birth legacy, the 'whole' Earth for the 'right
material', from the 'right place', at the 'right time' as revealed in their
personal Astro*Carto*Graphy Map by astrological transits and progressions.
